| Court price per hour | Each of four players pays |
|---|---|
| £20 | £5 |

What changes the price
- Time of day: peak prices are often £10 to £20 more than off peak at the same club. Powerleague Birmingham charges £32 in the day and £42 in the evening.
- Indoor or outdoor: outdoor courts are usually cheaper. Pukka Padel and Pure Padel in Leeds charge £20 off peak, against £28 to £36 at the indoor clubs.
- London: the capital costs about twice as much. Padel Social Club charges £70 to £80 at all times, and Racketeer charges £80 in the evening.
- Council courts: leisure centre courts are often the cheapest. Stapleford in Nottingham charges £12 off peak and Glasgow Club Scotstoun £28 at any time.
- Early mornings: a few clubs drop their prices first thing, such as £15 at Surge Padel, PadelHub BS5 and S3 Filton Park in Bristol.
Pay and play or membership?
Most clubs are pay and play. You book through Playtomic, MATCHi, ClubSpark or the club’s own app and pay for the court, with no joining fee.
Memberships usually cost £20 to £40 a month. They take 10% to 25% off court fees and let you book further ahead. Surge Padel charges £20 a month for 10% off and booking a month in advance, and The Court in Glasgow charges £40 a month for 25% off. If you play once a week at peak times, a membership often pays for itself. If you play now and then, pay and play is cheaper.
A few clubs, including David Lloyd and some private tennis clubs, only let members book.
Other costs
- Racket hire: usually £2 to £3, and some clubs include it.
- Floodlights: a few outdoor clubs charge extra in the evening, such as £5 an hour at Four Oaks in Sutton Coldfield.
- Your own kit: if you play often, a racket of your own soon costs less than hiring. See our guide to the best padel rackets in the UK.

Padel prices FAQs
How much does padel cost per person?
Most courts are booked for four players, so you split the court price. Outside London that usually comes to £5 to £12 each for an hour. In London it is more often £10 to £20 each.
When is padel cheapest?
Weekday mornings and early afternoons. Most clubs switch to peak prices from around 5pm on weekdays and for most of the weekend. Some clubs go lower again first thing: Surge Padel in Bristol charges £15 before 10am.
Do I need to be a member to play padel?
No. Most UK clubs are pay and play, so you can book a court online without joining. David Lloyd and some private clubs are the main exceptions, as their courts are for members only.

A singles court costs less to hire, usually £16 to £30 an hour, but you only split it two ways. Per player it works out about the same as doubles. Our singles padel courts page lists clubs that have them.

Usually £2 to £3 a session, and some clubs include racket hire in the court price.
