AI Use Disclosure
This AI use disclosure explains exactly how The Padel Review uses AI tools, what they are never used for, and who is responsible for what you read. We last updated it in November 2026.
The short version
- We use AI, mainly Claude from Anthropic, to research, draft, check pages and keep our UK court directory up to date.
- A human decides what we publish. That human is Matt, who writes the site as Padel Matt.
- AI never invents prices, quotes, reviews, results or photos on this site.
Who runs The Padel Review
Matt writes The Padel Review, under the name Padel Matt. The site comes from two people who have loved playing padel for more than eight years, and we built it because the UK game was growing faster than anyone was writing about it properly. We are not a big media company. That is why AI tools help one writer keep a site this size accurate and current.
Where AI is used, task by task
Most sites give you three vague bullet points. So here is the full workflow, with the AI part and the human part side by side.
| Task | What AI does | What a human does |
|---|---|---|
| Picking what we cover | Suggests gaps, competitor checks and search data | Matt decides what gets written and what gets dropped |
| Research | Gathers candidate sources: club sites, Playtomic, LTA, tour sites, retailer pages | We trace facts that matter back to the original source and link to it |
| Drafting | Writes first drafts of guides, directory listings and news round-ups | Matt edits for accuracy, tone and padel sense before it goes live |
| Court directory | Collects club names, areas, prices and links from each club’s own site or booking page | A full sweep every Monday morning, plus reader corrections |
| Prices and deals | Copies the price from the retailer page on the date shown | We never estimate or invent prices. Also, if a price has moved, the retailer’s price wins |
| Photos | Finds licensed photos of real venues, events and landmarks and records the credit | No AI-generated photos of real clubs, players or events |
| Social posts | We are testing Grok (xAI) for drafting social posts | Every post follows the site’s rules and facts; site work comes first |
Supporting the site
- The Padel Review is reader supported. Some links on this page and across the site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
- Read our affiliate disclosure for the full list of partners.
What AI is never used for
- Prices and deals. We take every price from the retailer page on the date shown. As a result, AI never guesses or rounds a price.
- Quotes and reviews. We never publish a quote, testimonial or review from a person who does not exist. Instead, we name the person and link to where the quote came from.
- Match results and rankings. Instead, results come from the official tour, federation or club source and are linked.
- Photos of real places and people. We use real, licensed photos of venues and events, credited on the page. When we cannot find one, though, we use a local landmark rather than an AI image.
- Hands-on claims. If a page says we have played with a racket or at a club, we have. However, if a pick comes from specs and research, the page says so.
How we build the court directory
Our UK padel court directory covers hundreds of venues. AI helps us collect each club’s name, area, court type, prices and booking link from the club’s own website or booking page. Map pins, like the ones on our London padel courts page, show the club’s area rather than the exact gate. Clubs change prices and open new courts all the time. For this reason, we sweep the whole directory every Monday morning.
Spotted a mistake?
First, tell us. Email thepadelreview@168marketing.co.uk with the page and what is wrong. Clubs can also send us updated prices, opening dates or photos. Then we fix confirmed errors as soon as we can and update the page date when we do.
Why we tell you this
Google’s guidance on helpful content and the EU AI Act both push in the same direction: if AI helps make what you read, you should know. We agree. After all, padel is a small, friendly sport in the UK and trust matters more than speed. This page is our promise about how we work, and we will keep it up to date as our tools change.
