We get the figure by adding up every club in our UK court finder. Each one has been checked against its own website. In other words, it is a real count rather than an estimate. We also sweep the list every Monday, which means this page moves as new clubs open.

Why our number is higher than the LTA figure

In October 2026 the LTA, which runs padel in Britain, put the total at 2,445 courts at 682 venues. However, our total is higher, for three main reasons:

  • We include Northern Ireland. The LTA figure is for Britain, while Northern Ireland adds 26 venues to our list.
  • We list 25 venues that are being built or are about to open. Each one is clearly marked on its card.
  • We add new clubs every week, so our list can run ahead of figures that come out every few months.

Even so, both counts tell the same story. Padel is growing fast, and the LTA now says 1.5 million people play it in Britain.

Padel courts in the UK by region

The South East has the most venues. However, the North West has the most courts, because its clubs tend to be bigger, with more than four courts each on average. So to see every club, along with a map, tap a region below.

Indoor, outdoor or covered

Padel in the UK is split almost evenly. For example, we count 318 venues with indoor courts and 316 with outdoor courts. Another 113 have covered courts, which keep the rain off but stay open at the sides, and 74 have a mix. As for the rest, the club does not say.

So if you want to play through the winter, use the Indoor filter at the top of each region page.

The biggest padel venues in the UK

Most clubs have between two and four courts. Still, a few are much bigger than that:

Slazenger is also building a 14 court indoor site at Millshaw in south Leeds, which will join the top of this list when it opens.
