The Adidas Metalbone Carbon Ctrl 3.4 takes the Metalbone name and points it at control. Where the standard Metalbone Carbon is a diamond built for attack, the Ctrl version is round, with a medium balance.
It weighs 360 to 375g, uses EVA Soft Performance foam and a 6K carbon face. Adidas aims it at advanced players who like to build points.

How It Plays
The Ctrl feels steady. The round head and medium balance make it easy to keep the ball low, and the 6K carbon gives a touch of softness on blocks and chiquitas.
Because it is on the heavier side for a control racket, it still has some punch. Overheads will not have the pace of the diamond Metalbone, but they are far from weak.
